Rain Barrel Production

What we do

The Milwaukee Community Service Corps produces rainbarrels for the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District. These rain barrels store 55 gallons of rainwater that can be used when it's dry to give thirsty gardens, flowers and trees a drink.

Community benefit

• Prevents rain from becoming polluted stormwater runoff, which can damage our lakes and groundwater and potentially cause Cladophora blooms
• Provides an inexpensive and environmentally friendly source of water for gardens and lawns – especially when watering restrictions are in place
