The Milwaukee Community Service Corps programs work by providing Milwaukee's youth (ages 16-24 years) with a combination of education, job training and hands-on work experience in a variety of projects - from housing construction and rehabilitation to light manufacturing of rain barrels. These young people earn wages and gain valuable experience working on projects that conserve the environment and revitalize the Greater Milwaukee area.
MCSC has contributed over 900,000 hours of service to Milwaukee, providing opportunities for nearly 1600 young adults.
The Milwaukee Community Service Corps educational programs reach at-risk youth and hard-to employ teens by providing them with the tools necessary to succeed in life.
Corps programs allow young adults to gain valuable career experience through hands-on employment training.
The Corps engages young adults in projects that improve the Milwaukee community and conserve the environment that range from cleaning up our beaches to rehabilitating houses.
